![]() Iris has a lot to offer as well, and if you don’t have it, check that out as well, although I didn’t use it for trailer music. I have “Iris 2” from iZotope and think it’s great even for what the regular price, however, PluginBoutique had a great offer last year to give it away for free. using your own sounds to make it even more “original”, what HZ is always recommending to do. The library is huge, and with the 2.5 version they have made a big step forward in terms of original audio manipulation aka. It shows that they can still take profit out of that and shows me and others that the products deserve to be at that price point too. I like their price offers, there are “no price offers”. These are the best you can ever get, even for that price. However, without a doubt, I do believe that Spectrasonics are making incredible products. One note: I have 16 GB of RAM installed on this machine and I'm sure I've been nowhere near maxing it out during these crash episodes.Hi don’t have Omnisphere, as I don’t think my music will be “automatically better” after buying it. yesterday.Īnyway, I'm trying Spectrasonic's own suggestion to load and run Reaper as a "separate process", not sure what that means but it obviously is some form of bridging which seems less than ideal but I'll try it for a while and see if Omnisphere stays stable. All other plugins (which were only a handful) identical today vs. This all played out in the space of about an hour whereas I ran multiple instances with multis running inside of each instance for three or four hours yesterday with no crashes. Ran for a little while, Reaper crashed again. Ran ok for a while, did some more freezing, Reaper crashed again. I got it to load on 2nd attempt and quickly froze a couple Omnisphere instances and kept one open with ONE patch (no multis). Keep in mind-this is a project setup that ran perfectly yesterday. ![]() (Windows 7 typical white screen saying "Reaper has stopped running, searching for answer to problem". Today I opened one of those same projects and Reaper crashed on loading. ![]() ![]() Yesterday I ran multiple instances of Omnisphere 2 with two or more instances running multi-patch setups and didn't have a single crash. 64 bit version of both on 64 bit Windows 7 Professional. Just wanted to contribute here-I have a lot of unpredictable, highly inconsistent problems running Omnisphere 2 (latest version) in Reaper (latest version). I don't remember what chipset is on my Firewire -card. I have i7, 8gb Ram, fast HDD where my Omnisphere 2 library is installed and SSD where are my plugins and Reaper. this is so WTF and FTW situation that I have never come across a problem like this.īefore Omnisphere 2 there has been very few times with Reaper crashing but now it's very clear that Omnisphere 2 is crashing the Reaper a lot. After crashing I did open project file and it did crash before I could do anything but after opening project file second time I could do again something while it crashed again.Īlso I noticed that when I changed ASIO Buffer to bigger (256 -> 512 for example) the audio did crackle and it's tempo got faster and also pitch changed higher. I barely could record couple midi tracks with it when Reaper constantly crashed. I've just purchased Omnisphere 2 and it's quite of a waste of money because Reaper keeps crashing and crashing. ![]()
